One day after Kate Middleton revealed she’d finished her chemotherapy treatment, Prince William discussed her health journey with royal fans. Expressing his gratitude, Prince William addressed Kate’s update while meeting with residents in Llanelli, South Wales on September 10. “It’s good news, but there is still a long way to go,” he said, according to The Sun. Kate, the Princess of Wales, marked her health milestone with a heartfelt video featuring moments with William and their children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6. Reflecting on her battle with cancer, she shared in the September 9 Instagram post, “As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life can change in an instant and we have had to navigate challenging times.”
Kate emphasized her focus on staying cancer-free, noting that despite finishing chemotherapy, her recovery would be ongoing. She expressed her anticipation of returning to work and public engagements in the coming months. “William and I are so grateful for the support we have received and have drawn great strength from all those who are helping us at this time,” she added, expressing solidarity with others battling cancer and encouraging them to let their light shine.
Throughout her treatment, support from her husband William was crucial as they navigated explaining her condition to their children. “Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance,” she said in a March video, also noting the challenge of communicating her health situation to George, Charlotte, and Louis. She reassured them and focused on her healing process, in mind, body, and spirit.
