Though Teen Mom alum Kailyn Lowry once let online critics get to her, she has now adopted a “out of sight, out of mind” approach. In a candid conversation, the Barely Famous podcaster shared that the negativity no longer affects her. Kailyn has learned to shake off the hate, despite her perceived “barely famous” status, stemming from her third podcast launched in 2022. Over the 14 years since her MTV debut, she’s faced various internet trolls. She admitted in an exclusive interview that it used to bother her, saying, “I would claim it didn’t, but it absolutely did. I was always reading the comments and troll pages.”
Her perspective changed when she decided to disengage. “Now, I just don’t care,” she maintained, at 32 years old. “I don’t want to see it.” Embracing the “don’t give a f**k” mantra of her thirties, Kailyn realized that everyone has flaws and moments they’d rather keep private. If people can’t see her humanity, she doesn’t wish to engage with them.
It took her a while to reach this mindset, and she wishes she had committed to it sooner. Despite sharing her approach for years, it’s only in the past two years that she’s truly lived by it. Juggling seven kids—Isaac, Lincoln, Lux, Creed, Rio, and twins Valley and Verse—and managing three podcasts plus The KILLR Podcast Network she launched in 2021, she needs no additional chaos.
Her organizational skills include relying on her phone, though she admits to occasional mixups, like rushing to wrestling practice after a touring show. She schedules her work primarily during school hours, sometimes working late but thriving in chaos.
Acknowledging her achievements is a challenge, but she praises her fiancé, Elijah Scott, for adapting to their chaotic family life. Their contrasting personalities provide balance, and her kids adore him. Raising seven kids isn’t easy, but Kailyn advises struggling single parents that their time to find support will come.
