On the March 27 episode of “The Kardashian Family,” the sisters celebrated the fifth anniversary of the Robert J.
Kardashian Center for Esophageal Health, established in honor of their father after he passed away from esophageal cancer in 2003.
The visit made them all reflect, sharing confessions on camera.
Each sister shared thoughts about their late father and revealed what he would think of their lives today.
“He was very funny and very playful,” said Kim Kardashian, speaking about how her father would behave, but she also admitted he “was pretty angry about a lot of things” if he were around today.
“I would have been punished for life,” she joked.
Khloe Kardashian similarly remembered that their father was “hilariously funny” and truly “the class clown,” admitting, “I’m sure some of our silly actions he probably wouldn’t have been too excited about.”
“But I also think that if he were here, we also would have been different at the same time,” she continued.
“Maybe we wouldn’t have made some of the stupid choices we did. Who knows?”
Kourtney Kardashian said she thinks their father would have enjoyed being part of their reality shows, “Following the Kardashian Family” and “The Kardashian Family.”
“He definitely would have joined in the pranks with us,” she added.
“He was very proud of the families we created and that we all stayed so close.” But above all, Kim said their late father would have been most proud of the UCLA Foundation’s work funding esophageal cancer research.
“There are some things in life my dad would have been very proud of, and there is no doubt this is one of them.
We couldn’t save his life with this new technology and access to these doctors, but now we can help save the lives of other people,” she said in her confession.
Robert the father was married to Kris Jenner from 1978 to 1991, and they also shared their son Rob, age 38.
He passed away in 2003 after a short battle with cancer, but as Kourtney mentioned in the episode, “We didn’t know it was stage 4, but we knew he had cancer.”
She added about the foundation’s work, “People come up to me sometimes and say, ‘You know how amazing it is that we have this center and that it exists and how many lives it helps?’ And it’s all in my dad’s name that really means a lot.”
